Writing for me can be fun when I write for myself. The problem I do have with writing is when I have to write for a class. I don't know what it is but when I get a writing assignment for a class on a certain topic I go blank and I can't figure out what I'm going to say in it and I just get all messed up with the information I have on it. Also my grammar isn't the best because I get caught up with thinking that I'm text messaging or writing an email to somebody. So I just forget that I'm writing a paper.
To me, my writing isn't the best when I have to do it in school. Mostly because a paper is due the next day or it's due at the end of the class period. To me that is not enough time to fully get what needs to be said in a paper and I just feel rushed and go blank. I feel that when teachers do that it's just easier to say it then to write it I think.
When I don't have to write for school work, I like to write poems casually. Depending on what day it is and how I feel about something. Also I do find it enjoyable writing stories that I read to my little nephew. It's just fun to make up silly fantasies about life that a little kid would like to read and listen to.
Dear Stephanie,
I’m writing you this letter for you to be able to know me better. I’ll start off by telling you that I’m really not much of a writer I’m more of a verbal person. Art and listening to music are the top two things I love to do in my spare time. I’m a picture freak so everywhere I go I find a moment that I have to capture with my camera, that goes everywhere with me. I tend to daydream a lot. Being in high places is my biggest fear; nobody will ever get me up on an airplane because of it. I’m a big animal lover so I have three dogs, a cat, I raise rabbits, and I have a few chickens. This is why I chose my major to be Pre-Vet cause I love to be around animals. Also dealing with animals I come from a hunting family so pretty much everybody in the family hunts except me because I can’t kill Bambi’s dad. Everybody that I know calls me a computer nerd because I know a lot about them. So if the Pre-Vet major doesn’t work out I might go for something to do with computers. I didn’t really do to great in high school, which brings me to one of my goals for this semester. It’s to do well in all my classes and not to fail any. My other goal is to find a job before the year ends because I haven’t been too lucky on finding one. Well I hope you learned more about me in this letter. I plan on having a fun time in your class.
Sincerely,
Jessica Wetterauer
